Release Date: 28 Feb 2024
2023 Corbett Center

New Mexico State University’s Office of Experiential Learning will host the 50th annual Educators’ Job Fair April 22. This career event will take place from 1 to 6 p.m. at NMSU Corbett Center Student Union, third floor ballrooms. Employers looking to recruit talented candidates can register in Handshake.

This event will provide candidates an opportunity to visit with multiple school districts located throughout the region and the United States. Candidates will include current student teachers, experienced educators and administrators, principals, nurses, school counselors and social workers. More than 40 education organizations will be recruiting for various career opportunities to include: Alaska Teachers and Personnel, Belen Consolidated Schools, Los Angeles Unified School District, Roswell Independent School District and Ysleta Independent School District to name a few.

This event is open to all NMSU students and alumni as well as the general public and is inclusive of all majors. Students in non-education majors may be interested in districts’ licensure programs and may be interested in discussing alternative teaching license career options and employment opportunities with school districts.

Candidates can view the most current list of employers attending the fair on Handshake. It is recommended that students research potential employers in advance and dress professionally for the fair as employers may conduct on the spot interviews. Handshake is accessible on the OEL website at oel.nmsu.edu

It is also recommended that students update their resumes prior to the fair and be ready to distribute to employers. The Student Success Center offers assistance with resume review and interview preparation. For more information on career preparation, contact Yvonne Franco at 575-646-3136.
